New Foreign drama series shot in Morocco

Morocco continues to attract international filmmakers to shoot in its territory. After “The Nine”, another thriller is currently being filmed in Morocco, according to the Moroccan Cinematographic Center (CCM) .

On February 27, the producers of Paramount Overseas Productions installed their cameras in Morocco, along with  the Moroccan production company Dune Films. Until July 8, the episodes of the new series “Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan” will be shot in Marrakech, Tensift El Haouz, Essaouira, El Jadida and Chichaoua.

Jack Ryan is a character who was born in the series of the American writer Tom Clancy. The 17 novels portray the life of Jack Ryan, from his younger years when he joined the CIA, to being elected President of the United States.

Tom Clancy’s books have already been adapted five times on the big screen. According to reports , this new adaptation will follow an up-and-coming CIA analyst thrust into a dangerous field assignment for the first time. The series follows Ryan as he uncovers a pattern in terrorist communication that launches him into the center of a dangerous gambit with a new breed of terrorism that threatens destruction on a global scale.

The series stars John Krasinski as Jack Ryan who was recently in the movie “13 Hours”, Amir Al-Masry known for The Night Manager (2016) and  Nadia Affolter known for the Blacklist (2013).
