Nador: Operation Smile Morocco caters to 60 children

The Association “Operation Smile Morocco” launched, Thursday, January 13 in Nador, a medical operation for the benefit of 60 children suffering from facial malformations.

The Association “Operation Smile Morocco” kicked off, Thursday, January 13 in Nador, its medical campaign (surgical operations) for the benefit of 60 children suffering from facial malformations, in particular cleft lip and palate.

This humanitarian initiative carried out under the Honorary Presidency of HRH Princess Lalla Meryem, and in partnership with the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, runs until January 16 and includes a medical team made up of 64 specialists who came from several regions of Morocco.

Operation Smile Morocco has provided free surgical care to more than 12,400 children as well as thousands of consultations and surgical, dental, orthodontic, psychological, speech therapy, orthognathic, and ENT follow-up.

The Association has also contributed to the training of hundreds of medical volunteers in the field of cleft surgery, anesthesia, dentistry, and nursing.
