Covid-19: Morocco receives 600,000 doses of Pfizer / BioNTech vaccine

Morocco received on Friday, August 13, the first batch of Pfizer-BioNTech anti-covid vaccine.

According to reports, Morocco has received 600,000 doses of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine primarily intended for young people aged 12 to 17.

The first batch is part of an order for exactly 1,800,000 doses of the American-German Pfizer / BioNTech vaccine which will be completed later this month.

The mRNA-type vaccine, deemed “safe” and “95% effective against symptomatic SARS-CoV-2 infection” will be intended for young people between 12 and 17 years of age whose vaccination begins August 16th, a few weeks before the start of the school year, some media sources say.
