Last night was party night at the Vélodrome of Casablanca on the occasion of the WeCasablanca Festival. For the occasion, the evening celebrated reunion to the sound of Andalusian music and Malhoun. Singer Abderrahim Souiri was a guest star.

The opening night of the WeCasablanca Festival, which was also broadcasted on social media, brought together the sublime voices of Sanaa Marahati, Marouane Hajji and Abderrahim Souiri for a journey through the most beautiful poems of Andalusian music and Malhoune, two essential national cultural heritages.

A magnificent atmosphere fueled by the desire to reconnect with the days before the pandemic served as a common thread for this opening night. This Friday evening, modern music will be in the spotlight and will be carried by the voices of Fatim Zahra Laaroussi, Lamiaa Zaidi, and Mohcine Salahedine.

These three artists brought together in an artist residency, have perfected a high-level show that revisits great classics of modern Moroccan song, borrowing the most famous artists’ successes who are in the memories of the public such as Ghita Benabdeslam, Mahmoud El Idrissi or Mohamed El Hayani.

As a reminder, the WeCasablanca Festival is organized by Casablanca Events et Animations from Thursday 21 to Sunday 24 October 2021, a date which coincides with the 5th anniversary of the launch of the territorial brand WeCasablanca, which was October 24, 2016.
