Tokyo Paralympic Games Kick off With the Participation of Najat El Garaa And Najwa Awane

Two weeks after the Olympic Games concluded, the Paralympic Games kicked off in Tokyo. The opening ceremony took place on Tuesday, August 24 in the presence of the Moroccan delegation made up of 38 champions.

From August 24 to September 5, the Paralympic Games in Tokyo welcome a panoply of athletes from all over the world including Morocco. The national delegation is made up of 38 athletes including 3 in powerlifting (para-power lifting), 3 in para-taekwondo, 2 wheelchair tennis players and the blind football team.

All eyes will be on Najat El Garaa (powerlifting, -55 kg), Najwa Awane, wheelchair tennis champion, twice African champion and Moroccan champion, Amine Chentouf (5,000 m / marathon), Mohamed Amgoun (400m) and Azzedine Nouiri (shot put / javelin throw) and Mohamed Lahna, the disabled sport triathlete triple African paratriathlon champion (2008, 2015, 2016).
