Titrit is the name of the official mascot of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2022. The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has just unveiled it via a press release published on its official website, the mascot of this 12th edition is a lioness in reference to the Lions / Lionesses of the Atlas of Morocco, an undeniable symbol of power and courage.
Titrit is an Amazigh Moroccan first name that means “star” or “celebrity” and which characterizes a proud, dignified, rigorous, and determined person.
Dressed in the colors of the Moroccan national team, and sporting a traditional jewel on her lioness head, Titrit also wears football boots to show that she is there to play and contribute to the festive atmosphere of the AFCON.
As a reminder, the 2022 TotalEnergies Women’s African Cup of Nations takes place from July 2 to 23 in the cities of Rabat and Casablanca.
