Titrit, the official mascot of the CAN women unveiled

A few days before the kick-off of the TotalEnergies 2022™ Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, CAF has unveiled the official mascot of the event which will be held in Morocco starting July 2.

Titrit is the name of the official mascot of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2022. The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has just unveiled it via a press release published on its official website, the mascot of this 12th edition is a lioness in reference to the Lions / Lionesses of the Atlas of Morocco, an undeniable symbol of power and courage.

Titrit is an Amazigh Moroccan first name that means “star” or “celebrity” and which characterizes a proud, dignified, rigorous, and determined person.

Dressed in the colors of the Moroccan national team, and sporting a traditional jewel on her lioness head, Titrit also wears football boots to show that she is there to play and contribute to the festive atmosphere of the AFCON.

As a reminder, the 2022 TotalEnergies Women’s African Cup of Nations takes place from July 2 to 23 in the cities of Rabat and Casablanca.
