Smart Battery: Rachid Yazami’s Latest Innovation

Written by FDM

Moroccan inventor Rachid Yazami presented on Tuesday, September 20, in Casablanca his smart innovation for ultra-fast charging of lithium-ion batteries for electric cars.

It was in Casablanca, during the Digital Energy Forum, that Moroccan researcher and inventor Rachid Yazami presented his latest smart battery invention.

The so-called non-linear voltammetry (NLV), allows the batteries to be recharged in less than 15 minutes. This solution greatly minimizes the recharging time. The method, as he explained, consists of applying a series of non-linear currents, which allows the voltage to be adapted to the state of the battery so that it does not heat up and can self-cool.

Professor Yazami also presented during this forum his method for detecting short circuits in telephone batteries and other appliance batteries.

Note that this event was organized by the Interworld agency in partnership with INSA alumni.
