Six winning Students at University Reading Prize First Edition

Six students won the University Reading Prize in its first edition, organized as part of the Virtual University Book Exhibition. Among the laureates, students Chaimae Khader, Kawtar Tarbouch and Amal Zabid.

The first edition of the University Reading Prize went to six students. A competition organized as part of the Virtual University Book Exhibition, at the initiative of the Ministry of National Education, Vocational Training, Higher Education and Scientific Research, which fell into two categories, namely “Audio recording of a Moroccan book” and “Presentation of a reading of a Moroccan book”.

450 young speakers participated. Result: in the “Audio recording of a Moroccan book” category, the jury, made up of several university professors and chaired by the dean of the Faculty of Education in Rabat, Abdellatif Kidai, chose the students: Chaimae Khader from Abdelmalek Essaadi University in Tetouan,Younes Labyed from Abdelmalek Essaadi University in Larache and Kawtar Tarbouch from Cadi Ayyad University in Marrakech. In the category “Reading Presentation of a Moroccan book”, the prize was awarded to students Amal Zabid from Cadi Ayyad University in Marrakech, Zouhair Kartita from Mohammed V University in Rabat and Abdelouahed Hajji from Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah University of Fez.

On the occasion of the Virtual University Book Exhibition, more than 900 university books, in paper or in digital form, were accessible as well as a hundred electronic university magazines and links to the digital library launched by the Ministry of Education. ‘National education in partnership with the British Council. Several conferences led by renowned professors, in particular the philosopher Edgar Morin, also marked this event.
