The two final matches of the men’s and women’s football tournament took place in the presence of the Minister of National Education, Preschool and Sports, Chakib Benmoussa, the Wali of the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region, Mohamed Mhidia, and the CEO of the Agency for the Promotion and Development of the North (APDN), Mounir El Bouyoussfi.
Results: The Jil Al Moustakbal team won the title of the women’s tournament, after its victory against the Ajyal Tadamoun team, and in the male category (16-17 years old), the title went to the Al Ikhlas association, which beat the club of the association Chebab Bir Chifa in the finals.
In a statement to the press, Mr. Benmoussa stressed that this sports competition aims to encourage the practice of sport among young people, noting that this tournament was organized in ten other cities of the Kingdom. The Minister specified that this sports tournament will be organized annually and will cover several disciplines (football, basketball, volleyball, handball, etc.), adding “we seek, through these events, to encourage and highlight talent and raise the level of team sports”.
