Rabat to Host Concerts by Manal Benchlikha, Samira Saïd, Cheb Khaled, El Grande Toto And More

From September 22 to 24, the OLM Souissi stage in Rabat will host an array of Moroccan and African artists who will perform in three concerts, as part of the festivities organized throughout the year, under the high patronage of King Mohammed VI, to celebrate the proclamation of Rabat as the capital of African culture.

Rabat has an appointment on September 22 with Moroccan artists Snor and Manal Benchlikha, in addition to the King of Rai, Cheb Khaled, who will perform an anthology of his timeless songs, said the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, in a press release.

The second concert, on September 23, will be marked by performances by the hit Moroccan rapper El Grande Toto, alongside Nigerian artist Ayra Starr, in addition to Congolese star Dadju, whose hits are popular among the Moroccan public.

The closing of these great concerts in Rabat will take place on September 24 with the Moroccan diva Samira Saïd, an emblematic figure in the Moroccan and Arab scene. The Malian artist Salif Keïta and the Moroccan group Fnaïre are also expected, in addition to Lartiste, according to the same source.

The program of festivities “Rabat capital of African culture” 2022, is organized throughout the year (June 2022-May 2023) and features activities covering the different fields of creativity and the arts.

These various activities are organized in all historic spaces, public squares, and all districts of the city of Rabat, with the participation of representatives of civil society and the various national public institutions involved with cultural issues.
