This new program reproduces an artistic work, property of the High Commission for Former Resistance fighters and Former Members of the Liberation Army, illustrating the battlefield of Anoual. It also contributes to the celebration of an important event in the history of the Moroccan resistance.
The Battle of Anoual, which took place on July 21, 1921, is one of the main ones in the series of national struggles against foreign occupation led by the glorious Alawite throne, in defense of national constants.
The special program “Centenary of the Battle of Anoual (1921-2021)” enriches the philatelic collection devoted to the themes of resistance, the revolution of the King and the People, and independence (the 30th, 40th, 50th and 60th anniversaries of the “Revolution of the King and the People” in 1983, 1993, 2003 and 2013 respectively). Also, we can cite the 1st and 60th anniversaries of Independence in 1957 and 2015 and the “National Day of Resistance” in 2010.
