Najwa Awane, Wheelchair Tennis Champion Joins International Tennis Federation Athlete Committee

Najwa Awane, wheelchair tennis athlete and champion, two-time African champion, ranked Moroccan number 1 and senior Arab number 1, is the first African to join the ITF (International Tennis Federation) athlete committee. She now benefits from the support of Euler Hermes ACMAR to advance in her career.

Euler Hermes ACMAR, a national leader in credit insurance, is supporting this athlete who bears the colors of the Kingdom so high, as an incredible model of inspiration, inclusion, and leadership.

At just 23 years old, Najwa, who is already an accomplished athlete with an impressive track record, was recently elected to sit on the ITF Wheelchair Athletes Commission as a member.

This commission, whose mission is to defend the interests of this discipline’s athletes, will welcome the champion for two years of mandate (2021 and 2022). This election is a consecration for Najwa who at the same time becomes the first African to sit there and who intends to defend the rights of the continent’s athletes.

Moreover, Najwa is currently training tirelessly to ensure her qualification for the Tokyo Paralympics.
