MOGA Festival returns to Essaouira!

After the success of its Portuguese edition from June 1 to 5, which brought together nearly 10,000 people on the beaches of Costa da Caparica, a few minutes from Lisbon, the MOGA Festival returns to Essaouira for a 4th edition from September 28 to October 2. The lineup includes Acid Arab, DJ Tennis, Polo & Pan, Lee Burridge, Jimi Jules, Petre Inspirescu, Sebastien Léger and many others.

Electronic music, nomadism, creativity, and discovery, are the credos of the Moga Festival. MOGA was born in 2016 in Essaouira, former “Mogador”, where it returns after two years of absence at the Sofitel Essaouira Mogador Golf & Spa. Indeed, the 4th edition is scheduled from September 28 to October 2. MOGA is a “boutique festival” dedicated to electronic music and inspired by bohemian culture, the Atlantic, and its laid-back, surf-oriented lifestyle.

The singularity of the festival lies in its unique experience connecting festival-goers from all over the world of different cultures and origins around dance, music, art, and well-being but also values of sharing, openness, exchange, and interculturality.
On September 28 and 29, two days OFF with free events in different local establishments within the Medina and by the beach. And from September 30 to October 2, the Sofitel Essaouira Mogador Golf & Spa will host the three days of the festival, with no less than 5 stages set up and a lineup that mixes Moroccan, Portuguese, and international artists.
On the program: the French Polo & Pan, a Parisian house, disco, and electro duo used to festivals, as well as Acid Arab, a Parisian collective that has given a voice to Arab culture in electronic music; and French producer and DJ Sébastien Léger. But also international artists like  CC:DISCO –The Melbourne girl and her Disco, House and Boogie cuts selection, DJ Python and her Deep Reggaeton, the Swiss multi-instrumentalist DJ Jimi Jules, Petre Inspirescu, the master of Romanian house, or even Lee Burridge the English DJ/Producer, the producer and Italian DJ DJ Tennis, aka Manfredi Romano, Sonja Moonear, DJette Suisse, and Soichi Terada the Japanese electronic music composer, known for his work in the Ape Escape video game series.
Many Moroccan artists are also expected such as Mr. ID, a key figure in Electro-fusion music in Morocco, Kawtar Sadik, the singer-songwriter who mixes Rock, Rap, Electro, Fusion, and Arabic and Berber sounds or Guedra Guedra and her electronic music imbued with traditional tribal sounds of the desert.
