Literary Meeting with Loubna Serraj and Discussion on Violence Against Women

Written by FDM

The French Institute in Casablanca is hosting a meeting on Thursday, June 10 on violence against women.

Initiated by the Cooperation and Cultural Action Service of the Embassy of France, the Orange Foundation, and La Croisée des Chemins editions, the event is part of the Generation Equality Forum.

Within the framework of this meeting, Loubna Serraj will present her first novel, “Pourvu qu’il soit de bonne humeur”, which, while evoking domestic violence as a backdrop, explores the quest for freedom of two women who are separated but whom everything connects… to their defending bodies.

At the end of the presentation of this book, a discussion will be organized on the theme of violence against women with the author, Loubna Serraj, and representatives of civil society organizations, Youssera Elbarrad, of the Federation of Leagues of Women’s Rights (FLDF) and Amina Lotfi, from the Democratic Association of Women of Morocco (ADFM). The meeting will be moderated by journalist Myriam Ezzakhrajy.

This discussion will be followed by a press conference with Loubna Serraj and a signing session with the guests present.

The meeting will be available in replay on the websites and social networks of the IFM, and the Orange Foundation.
