Ibrahim Maalouf enchants the stage of Bab el Makina

Written by FDM

For its third evening at Bab Al Makina, the Festival of Sacred Music of the World gave carte blanche to trumpeter Ibrahim Maalouf who, with the Haïdouti Orkestar, offered a joyful and festive concert to a conquered audience.

It was with a triumphant trumpet blast that Ibrahim Maalouf and the Haïdouti Orkestar company breathed solemn joy onto the Bab Al Makina stage. “It’s an honor and a joy for me to play in Morocco and particularly at this festival which promotes interbreeding”, explains the trumpeter.

Ibrahim Maalouf said he is delighted to be in Fez and it shows. He then presented the Haïdouti orchestra made up of around twenty musicians from the four corners of the globe which played several repertoires and compositions. It was thus an opportunity to (re) listen to the two pieces composed for the film The Cow. Ibrahim Maalouf then welcomed the singer Edika Gunduz who enchants the audience with songs in several languages. The dancer Nuria Rovira Salat was up next, in garnet red to ignite the stage. Way to conclude a magical unique evening.
