The 28th edition of the Gharnati Music Festival will be held from June 10 to 13 at the Mohammed VI Theater in Oujda, under the theme “Gharnati music, recognition for an ancestral art”.

The Mohammed VI Theater in Oujda will host, from June 10 to 13, the 28th edition of the Gharnati Music Festival, under the theme “Gharnati music, recognition for an ancestral art”. Organized by the Ministry of Culture and Youth – Culture Sector, under the High Patronage of HM King Mohammed VI, this festival celebrates Gharnati music as a fruitful heritage and one of the most distinguished artistic expressions which characterize the Moroccan heritage, as put forward by the organizers in a press release.

The 28th edition of this festival, which will take place face-to-face and remotely through the official Facebook page of the Regional Directorate of Culture, revolves around a rich and varied cultural program, including performances at the Mohammed VI Theater of ‘Oujda, with the participation of renowned orchestras. Like previous editions, the festival will pay tribute to the pioneers and great names of Gharnati music.
