First edition of the “female employment” forum in Fez

Written by FDM

From October 15 to 18, Fez hosted its first edition of the “female employment” forum, under the theme “companies, human rights, and gender approach”.

It is an event dedicated exclusively to the feminization of the job market. As a reminder, the activity rate of women in 2020 is barely 19.9%, according to the HCP.

“The purpose of this meeting is to bring together job seekers from all walks of life and companies looking for female talent, including in professions long considered exclusively male», the organizers explained in a press release, namely the association Initiatives for the Protection of the Rights of Women, the Regional Council of Human Rights and the General Confederation of Enterprises of Morocco in collaboration with civil society, the Chamber of Trade, Industry and Services, the Regional Council, the Office for Vocational Training and Work Promotion, as well as the Sidi Mohammed Ben Abdellah University.

Thus, the three-day event included conferences, workshops on the deconstruction of gender stereotypes in employment, and professional project development sessions. Exchange spaces between candidates and recruiters have also been set up.
