Organized on July 2nd and 3rd, CasablancaRun invites all locals as well as sports enthusiasts to explore and (re)discover the beauty of the white city and its magnificent places. The objective is to highlight the splendor of Casablanca and the infrastructure made available to the public in order to encourage sport, well-being, and a healthy lifestyle, as the organizers explain in a press release by Hit Radio, 2M TV, Le Matin, Le Site Info, the Mohammed VI Foundation for Champions, RAM, Axa Assurance, CIEL, and SVR.
CasablancaRun is a non-competitive event that will take place on the weekend of July 2 and 3: no rankings or official results, it is open to ALL! No start or finish line, each participant will run/walk at a time that suits them, on the Saturday or Sunday of CasablancaRun, at the place of their choice and the distance they want.
“Participants can also join the groups of runners as well as the Casablanca champions that we highlight on our website. (Free Runners Morocco, Run & Fun Morocco, Running Addict Morocco, Moroccan Expedition Team, …) ”, they add, specifying that “Most of these groups and champions will run in different places in Casablanca (Corniche, Arab League Park, Anfa Park, Bouskoura, etc.). The race location of each group will be communicated on our social networks (Facebook and Instagram)”
Sports coaches will also organize group outings where activities and physical exercises will be offered. In turn, schools will organize outings to encourage sport and well-being among young people. CasablancaRun is the first of a series of events that will take place annually in several cities in Morocco (Rabat, Marrakech, Tangier, Agadir, Dakhla, Fez…).
