Presented by the Minister of Solidarity, Social Integration, and the Family, Aawatif Hayar, this draft decree falls within the framework of the interest accorded by the government to issues relating to women, aligning with its government program 2021-2026, more specifically, the achievement of gender equality and the empowerment of women in various fields, indicated the Minister Delegate in charge of Relations with Parliament, government spokesperson, Mustapha Baitas, during a press point at the end of the Council.
This project will bring together the objective conditions necessary to win this bet, by offering a framework guaranteeing harmony and convergence between the various initiatives and efforts deployed, in addition to the enhancement of achievements.
This framework will also be an essential source for proposing solutions and providing national responses to all the problems related to the protection and promotion of women’s rights, through monitoring, evaluation, and the mobilization of all parties, stakeholders from government sectors, national institutions, local authorities, the private sector, and civil society associations.
The draft decree No. 2.22.194, which aims to set up a National Committee for Gender Equality and the Advancement of Women, is intended to be a new national system where various initiatives from the different parties must converge in perfect harmony according to a new perspective that integrates all actors in a governance framework and a participatory approach.
