Assaad Bouab in the casting of a series on Benjamin Franklin alongside Micheal Douglas

The Franco-Moroccan actor, Assaad Bouab is set to play in the new historical series by Apple TV dedicated to the emblematic character that was Benjamin Franklin.

A series on Benjamin Franklin, founding father of the United States is at the heart of Versailles, where filming has begun. It is the actor Michael Douglas who embodies the historical figure. Along his side, is a four-star cast including the Moroccan actor who plays the role of French philosopher and playwright Pierre-Augustin Caron de Beaumarchais.

Other stars include Thibault de Montalembert, Noah Jupe, Daniel Mays, Ludivine Sagnier and Jeanne Balibar.

A mini-series of 8 episodes around Benjamin Franklin, 70, who without any diplomatic experience, manages to convince France, a great monarchy at the time, to subscribe to the American democratic concept. His charisma and his notoriety with the great French and cultural personalities of the time made him a spokesperson who’s heard. The series follows this period in the life of an iconic inventor, journalist, and politician.
