Ali Zaoua Foundation is Celebrating Female Talent

Written by FDM

The Ali Zaoua Foundation organized a round table, on Wednesday, March 16, around the theme “Hia li Batala”, (she is a champion) in light of International Women’s Day.

On Wednesday, March 16,  women athletes presented their career paths with the aim of inspiring young people with existing role models and encouraging parity in male-dominated professions.

This round table brought together the founder of Jaguares, the first women’s American football team in Morocco, Fouzia Madhouni, volleyball player Nora Darrar, gold medalist in 2019 at the African Beach Games and bronze in the African Cup of Nations, the champion from Africa in Jujitsu Ghita Chafik, as well as Salima El Assali “Alwa7cha”, athlete-artist, sports coach and influencer.

The Ali Zaoua Foundation celebrates International Women’s Day throughout the month of March. Through several themes, different events will be organized within four cultural centers of the Foundation, in Casablanca, Tangier, Fez, and Agadir. The program pays tribute to women who excel in several fields: the arts, entrepreneurship, literature, high-level sport, and health.

The Ali Zaoua Foundation thus highlights talented Moroccan women who proudly wear the colors of the Kingdom, such as the artist-designer Zainab Fassiki, the director Maryam Touzani, or the footballer Fouzia Madhouni.

A concert by Moroccan rapper Khtek is expected on Saturday, March 19 at 6 p.m at Les Etoiles de Sidi Moumen cultural center in Casablanca.
