Paris based interior designer and famous French singer’s wife, Sarah Lavoine has launched a brand new carpet collection inspired by Morocco, and named “Mogador” after coastal city Essaouira.

Deeply attached to her Moroccan origins, this is not the first time Sarah Lavoine collaborates or gets inspiration from Morocco. “The design of the collection is largely influenced by my childhood memories of Morocco,” says the interior designer. “I was inspired by the geometry of Berber kilims, the magical colors, and the grids of fishing nets. I wanted to create five diverse color combinations to accentuate the beauty of these authentic Moroccan rugs.”

An architect and interior designer, Sarah Lavoine has been growing her brand since its creation in 2000, to have it today include furniture, lighting, stationery, tableware, home accessories, and the latest hand-knotted woolen carpet collection; “Mogador”.

Named after the ancient Moroccan coastal town; known today as Essaouira, the collection is characterized by a graphic mix of three distinct patterns with a simple, hand-drawn effect, and made of rugs available in three sizes and five color ways.
