Tahanaout : Campaign for cataract surgery aims to operate 300 patients

Foundation of the International Film Festival of Marrakech is reaffirming its commitment to humanity from December  3rd to the 8th of 2018 at the Mohammed VI Hospital of Tahanaout.

Under the effective presidency of His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid, the Foundation of the International Film Festival of Marrakech organizes, from December  3rd to the 8th of 2018 at the Mohammed VI Hospital of Tahanaout, its third medical-social campaign in partnership with the Ministry of Health and the Hassan II Foundation of Ophthalmology.

After Taza (April 23- 28) and Azilal (November 12-17), the new campaign is organized on the sidelines of the 17th edition of the International Film Festival of Marrakech, thus devoting a true tradition and emphasizing the solidarity and citizenship of this international film event.

In Tahanaout, the medical-social campaign dedicated to cataract surgery aims to operate 300 patients coming from all over the region suffering from cataract. They will benefit from free medical and surgical treatments carried out by a team of volunteer ophthalmologists.In parallel with these medical campaigns, a cinematographic caravan is also organized in partnership with the Moroccan Cinematographic Center. Aim: to allow the general public to enjoy free screenings and proximity of Moroccan films.
