The first case of contamination by the Covid-19 variant that appeared in the United Kingdom was detected at Port Tanger-Med in a Moroccan who arrived from Ireland on a boat from Marseille, the Ministry of Health announced on Monday.
The asymptomatic person was placed in isolation in Casablanca, the ministry said in a statement, stressing that the patient and his contacts are treated according to the updated national protocol.
An array of measures were updated to better manage the positive cases while taking into account the epidemiological situation at the national and global levels.
The Ministry of Health assures that it will continue to inform national public opinion of all developments on this subject, calling on citizens to comply with the rules of prevention, in a spirit of patriotism and responsibility.
