Covid-19: the vaccination campaign starts this week

Morocco received the first batch of the British Astrazeneca vaccine made in India last Friday, January 22, 2021. The first batch of the Sinopharm vaccine is scheduled for next Wednesday. Only 2 million doses have been received so far out of the 66 million doses ordered by Morocco, and 500,000 doses from Sinopharm laboratories are expected on Wednesday, January 27th. The vaccination strategy set by the Kingdom adapts, and primarily targets health professionals over 40, public authorities, members of the army, teachers over 45, and people over the age of 75 years old. Areas where the level of Covid-19 contamination is high will also be affected by this vaccination operation.
