COVID-19: Morocco’s recovered cases surpass death toll

The assessment of the new Coronavirus recorded in our country until 11 am this Friday reports 15 new recoveries, which brings the total number to 49. However, the death toll registered 3 new deaths which bring the total of victims to 47.

The latest assessment communicated by the Ministry of Health reports 47 deaths following the registration on the night of Thursday to Friday of 3 new cases. The number of cases excluded after a negative laboratory analysis reached 2983 cases. The figures communicated on the portal “www.covidmaroc.m a show 735 confirmed cases.

The distribution of the confirmed cases around the different regions of the kingdom is as follows: Casablanca – Settat (217 cases), Fès-Meknès (117 cases), Rabat-Sala-Kénitra (116 cases), Marrakech- Safi (130 cases), Tanger-Tétouan Al Hoceima (48 cases), L’oriental (38 cases), Souss-Massa (19 cases), Beni Mellal-Khenifra (23 cases), Daraa Tafilalet (24 cases), Laâyoune- Sakia El Hamra (2 cases) and Guelmim-Oued Noun (1 case). No cases have been reported from Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab.

And we can never repeat it enough: to stem this epidemic, all citizens must respect the rules of hygiene and health security, and carefully follow the precautionary measures taken by the Moroccan authorities.
