Covid-19: massive vaccination in Morocco in the coming weeks

Written by FDM

A massive anti-Covid vaccination will take place in Morocco in the coming weeks. This decision was taken by the Sovereign who chaired Monday, November 9, 2020, at the Royal Palace in Rabat, a working session devoted to the vaccination strategy against Covid-19.

A mass vaccination operation for citizens over the age of 18 was ordered by HM King Mohammed VI, following the advice of the ad hoc National Scientific Committee which stressed that vaccination is a real response to end the acute phase of the pandemic.

This large-scale national operation should target as a priority the front-line staff, namely health staff, public authorities, security forces, and national education staff, as well as the elderly and those vulnerable to the virus. The vaccination operation will then include the rest of the population, according to a vaccination schedule in two injections.
The Kingdom has been able to occupy an advanced position in the supply of vaccine against covid-19, thanks to the initiative and the personal involvement of the Sovereign which resulted in the successful participation of our country in the clinics’  trials.
