Practical, malleable, and cheerful, here are the new pouches from designer Gwladys Rock n ‘Craft. As an enthusiast of Fez stitching, the needle expert has made a name for herself by making unique wall decorations from an embroidered sieve in tarz with old photos, graphic faces, or birds in the background.
“I arrived 13 years ago in Casablanca where I discovered rich and inspiring craftsmanship, but also color, lots of colors, smiles,” she says on her blog. It is therefore quite natural that I tried to learn some techniques from ancestral know-how”.
Today, she is launching a collection of small pouches. “The idea has always been there because it is a very practical accessory for those who appreciate classification and organization”, she tells us before smiling: “It is my slightly manic side that stands out”. But, it is especially the practical side at the time of the Covid-19 that has inspired her: ” You never know where to keep your mask when going to drink coffee or eat at a restaurant, ” she continued. The solution is definitely a chic alternative in sfifa or hand embroideries. “ My pockets are very colorful,” she emphasizes. I have always used colors, to add an extra freshness and madness to my creations. »
