Italian brand Roberto Cavalli presented on Saturday a collection inspired by the deserts of North Africa during the fourth day of the Milan Fashion Week.
Led by the Englishman Paul Surridge, Roberto Cavalli marched in a liquefying heat, almost in keeping with his theme of this spring-summer 2019 collection.
“The collection is an ongoing journey and celebration of the physicality of the body, and an evolution of sensuality rather than sexuality. It has a very mild North African vibe, inspired by a design team bonding trip we took to Morocco.” The British designer told Vogue UK.
Consisting of dresses with Moroccan finishing sequins, North African geometric flowers engineered onto jackets, evening wear with refined embroidery, the collection is very imbued with a Moroccan touch.
