The jury for the Vogue prize Fashion was impressed with Mo Benchellal’s “contemporary yet timeless designs that exude the ultimate sense of glamor, and in which durability is essential,” according to Dutch news site Nieuws Blad.

Mo Benchellal studied at the Mode Lyceum fashion school in Amsterdam (the Netherlands) and subsequently founded his own fashion house Benchellal in 2007.
Thanks to this award, the Moroccan-Dutch designer will have his place in the Vogue Arabia showroom during Fashion Week in Paris, and he will be able to showcase his creations via the Net-a-Porter online store. The famous magazine will offer him retail opportunities, editorial/press, marketing, and mentorship, and much more.
The Fashion Prize was founded in 2015 to invigorate fashion and design talent by providing a program for emerging designers to showcase their abilities. It is overseen by a Selection Committee comprising senior leaders from Vogue Arabia and both the regional and international fashion communities, ”
On the other hand, the Fashion house expressed great honor and pride following this recognition. “I’m grateful for the recognition of my work by an incredible jury and the overwhelming amount of support, thank you!”
