Moroccan designer, Youssef Lahlou, signs with the stylist of Beyoncé and Lady Gaga in LA

Moroccan-born, New York-based designer Youssef Lahlou launched his brand of original and extravagant hats that is all the rage among the stars, fashion magazines and the American jet set.

Originally from Casablanca, Youssef Lahlou launched his  brand in January and it is already a success. Spotted by prestigious magazines like Vogue Arabia or Buro247 , the young Moroccan seduces by the bestial extravagance and audacity of his creations.

Being a nature and animals enthusiast, he confessed to never used leather or fur of animal origin. Youssef Lahlou gives total freedom to his imagination, designing unique pieces made of felt decorated with jewels in 24K gold plating, crystals of Swarovski, metal or resin.

Youssef Lahlou initially began expressing his creativity by making films. Growing up in Casablanca, he made a short film called « The Tablecloth » that has earned him nominations in prestigious international festivals. He then headed to New York to study cinema. It was then when he discovered his passion for hats and decided to fully devote himself to it.

The young Moroccan, will be represented in September by the famous stylist B.akerlund, known to dress the most influential stars on the planet, like Madonna, Beyoncé, Lady Gaga or Jennifer Lopez, Miley Cyrus and Britney Spears. She fell under the spell of Lahlou’s creations, and is expected to present all of his collection in her exclusive showroom » The Residency « , one of the most popular spots in Los Angeles.
