For its Fall 2017 show at Milan Fashion Week, Dolce & Gabbana reached out to Millennials by casting some non-models, including social media stars, influencers, and celebrity children to walk in the show.

Among the sea of non-models who walked the show, Lebanese fashion blogger Lana Sahely stood out. According to Vogue Arabia, the 27 years-old who runs the e-commerce site L’Armoire de Lana
was handpicked by designers to model for them as a “unique Arab influencer and fashion entrepreneur,” she received her invitation through e-mail.

She was filled with excitement and gratitude knowing that the designers personally selected each of the 140 “non-model models”.  She opted for a silk, pajama-inspired set featuring white piping layered under a velvet, metallic-lined blazer, and accessorized with an ornate crown and beaded heels. “I wanted to represent my region in a beautiful way, with class and modesty,” she says.

According to The Cut, the non-models who walked in the show included social media star Aimee Song, singer Madison Beer, and a long list of second-generation celebs including Anais Gallagher, Delilah Belle Hamlin, Rafferty Law, Sofia Richie… etc.
