3 Denim trends you’ll need for 2018

It’s that time of the year again when we welcome a new season. And while with every season comes a different wardrobe, this especially holds true for two reasons: winter has just hit Morocco (rain and slightly cold weather) and the new year is around the corner.

When considering buying new items to keep the wardrobe updated, one often starts with essentials. Arguably, a pair of jeans hits top on the list of must-haves on every occasion. So after cropped flares and vintage-inspired straight-leg jeans, what are the expected denim trends for 2018?

Fashion editor Kristen Nichols of the latest celebrity styles website WhoWhatWear put together three denim trends for the upcoming year, she picked up from spring runways and cool street style girls.

#1. Top Stitch

“One style quickly gaining popularity is jeans with exposed stitching—making for a bold design that feels fresh and cool” she wrote on her article.

#2. Dark-Wash Denim

“The shift from light-wash to slimming dark-wash denim is also becoming more prominent.”


#3. Baggy ’90s Denim

“With the ’90s-inspired baggy styles popping up everywhere, skinny jeans just might lose their spot on the list of staple denim.”
