Yves Saint Laurent Museum Marrakech pays tribute to Leila Alaoui in a free access exhibition

Yves Saint Laurent museum Marrakech, holds an exhibition of the photograph series “Les Marocains”, by late Leila Alaoui from September 30 to February 5, 2019.  Access to the exhibition is free as a tribute to the photographer.  

This is a first for the Majorelle Foundation to present a free exhibition in one of its museums. Visitors will be able to discover around thirty portraits, some of them unpublished presented at this exhibition in partnership with the Leila Alaoui Foundation, created by her parents to perpetuate the memory of the photographer who was shot Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.

This accomplished artist collaborated with many international NGOs and her work was exhibited around the world: from the Institute of the Arab World to the European House of Photography in Paris, through the Art Dubai Institute.

In order to open its doors to the greatest number of people, the museum dedicated an entrance exceptionally to the exhibition from rue Al Houdhoud.
