The Hiba Foundation has revealed the names of the six artists selected for the Hiba-Rec support program dedicated this year to new talents from the Hip Hop scene, and to emerging rappers from the country. Malak, a young singer, songwriter, and performer is among the winners. The 24 years-old performer from Marrakech has to her credit a few singles published on Youtube. She started singing lessons in an art school, then chose to study business management in London and return to Morocco to pursue an artistic career-oriented Rnb Neo Soul, as detailed by the Hiba Foundation on its website.
Other artists include Yassin Saddok, aka Flogoshin, who released his first single “Yema” and, in 2019, his debut EP “DAF”, Anas Lakrati, known as Nilz, beatmaker, songwriter and music producer, Oussama Yamine aka SniPraTo, rapper, and producer, Mars, real name Hamza Mouddou, rapper and beatmaker, who released his first EP, “Ready to Die” in 2019, and, for the first time, an artist of sub-Saharan origin, Black Lyrikal, from the Republic of Congo, based in Fez. His real name is Pembellot Dorsy Peurel, Black Lyrikal is a Congolese rapper.
The winners of HIBA_Rec # 3 Rap / Trap / Hip-Hop will benefit from the recording of a free track at Studio Hiba under professional conditions with support, a shooting as well as a making-of and an electronic press kit which will help them promote their tracks.
