Written by FDM

The US soccer team won the 2019 Women’s World Cup on Sunday 2-0, against the Netherlands. This counts as their fourth world title in eight editions. A record that owes a lot to their mentality.

The month-long tournament that attracted more attention to the sport ended with the United States taking the cup. The American players exerted the power of persuasion, that no other team seemed able to contest the inevitable happy end. The United States is now 4 times world champions (1991, 1999, 2015 and 2019), an impressive record of victories in eight editions.

Pictures show the collective joy of players holding the trophy while the 20,000 American fans chanted victorious slogans “USA! USA! USA!”.
