Launched in January 2020, the 2nd edition of the “Teacher’s Awards” is the result of a successful collaboration between AREF, the Zahid Foundation, and the Association of Amis de l’Ecole Publique in Marrakech, in order to promote and encourage teachers to implement the strategic projects of framework law 51.17, in particular in terms of the development of pilot class projects, and to motivate educational players with a view to better practice.
The success of the 1st edition allowed the expansion in 2020 of the Prize to the entire Marrakech-Safi region, knowing that it had until then been reserved for the province of Al Haouz, and the launch of a new category: primary schools of the IPSE network. Thus, the prize rewards, this year, teachers in three categories: “primary public school” (3 prizes), “inclusive education” (one prize), and “primary establishments of the IPSE network” (3 prizes).
In the category of “primary public school”, the first prize went to Ms. Houmame Slaoui (Safi), while the second went to Ms. Hasna Balla (Marrakech) and the third to Ms. Nadia Naim (Safi). In the category of “inclusive education”, the prize was won by Oumaima Tahri (Al Haouz), while the three prizes, which are reserved for the category of “primary establishments of the IPSE network”, were awarded to female teachers Fadoua Afife (1st prize), Samira Abroum (2nd prize) and Keltouma Benelyazid (3rd prize), practicing in Benguerir.
For this 2nd edition, 129 projects were presented and more than 3,800 students benefited from the creativity and educational commitment of their teachers.
