“Visage du Maroc” highlights the reality of abandoned children in Morocco

“Visage du Maroc” held a conference on November 2, 2019, at the Casa Anfa Market Table, under the theme “Facing the reality of abandoned children in Morocco”.


In order to contribute to advancing the debate on social issues, the “Visage du Maroc” platform organizes a series of conferences led by experts, opinion leaders, artists, and civil society actors.

In this context, the digital platform organized “Facing the reality of abandoned children in Morocco” conference to “shed light on this subject that concerns us all because it is about the future of our country. Despite the wonderful work done by associations that are active in this field, the path remains long and perilous,” said Hind Chaouat, Founder and Director of Visage du Maroc.

This conference was marked by the intervention of specialists like Dr. Nawal Khamlichi, Child Psychiatrist and President of the Moroccan Society of Child Psychiatry and Associated Professions (SMPPA) and Souad Ettaoussi, Director of the Institution Tahar Sebti and author. A passionate debate moderated by Lamya Ben Malek, a law student and French Champion of debate in 2018.

Launched by visual artist Hind Chaouat, “Visage du Maroc” is a digital platform highlighting profiles of women with an inspiring career. Each month, two women are honored through a comprehensive portrait highlighting their different achievements, both personally and professionally. Eager to contribute to advance the debate, “Visage du Maroc” also organizes a Symposium and a cycle of conferences.
