This is another small step forward. A new draft decree on the elimination of violence against women was approved on Thursday, March 28, by the Council of Government.
The Council of Government approved the draft Decree No. 2.18.856 on the elimination of violence against women. In detail, the said project implements the provisions of articles 10, 11, 13 and 15 of the law n°103-13 relating to the fight against violence against women, entered into force on September 12, 2018.
In other words, it defines the composition of the reception, listening and support cells for women victims of violence, while also designating the representatives of the administrations of these cells at the level of the primary and appellate courts. The draft decree also determines the composition of the National Committee for Women Victims of Violence and defines the representatives of the administrations to the regional and local committees responsible for the care of these women.
