US: Moroccan students to participate in the TechGirls exchange program

Four female Moroccan high school students will take part in the TechGirls 2017 exchange program in the united states, from July 12 to  August 8.

On this occasion, Asmae Aannaque, Yasmina El Argoubi, Asmaa Hadir and Soukaina Tachoufti, will visit several US campuses where they will participate in « workshops on leadership and project management, an interactive coding and technology camp conducted  by the Computer Science Training Department » said the US Embassy in Rabat in a statement.

« They will be participating in a day of workplace observation with the largest technology companies in the Washington DC area and will contribute to community work activities, » the source said.

Joining the four Moroccan students in the program are other young women from: Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine and Tunsia.

TechGirls is an international summer exchange program designed to empower and inspire young girls from the Middle East and North Africa to pursue careers in science and technology.
