Two Moroccan pianists at the “Octobre Musical” festival in Carthage

The two young Moroccan pianists Nour Ayadi and Aïda Lahlou are to play at the 23rd edition of the festival “Octobre Musical”, organized from 12 to 31 October in Carthage, Tunisia. A special participation since Morocco is for the first time represented at this festival of classical music.

This year, Morocco is participating for the first time at the 23rd edition of “Octobre Musical” festival which hosts “Sixteen concerts, conducted by artists who, by their talent and sensitivity, will share the passion of music ” from 12 to 31 October at Carthage.

And to represent the country are two young Moroccan pianists: Nour Ayadi and Aïda Lahlou . The first, who preformed on October 13th, trained at the Paris National Music Conservatory where she received the jury’s Grand Prix. She has been invited to festivals in France, Poland, Austria and Italy since the age of 15 , and is the recipient of numerous international prizes and competitions, including that of Princess Lalla Meryem. Her repertoire includes melodies by Beethoven, Bach, Chopin and Barcarolle.

Aïda Lahlou, the second pianist, won her first international competition at the age of 8.  Five years later, she was admitted to the prestigious Yehudi Menuhin School in the United Kingdom, becoming the first Moroccan to join the music school. She plays songs by Beethoven, Chopin, Ravel and Scriabine, whether as solo or part of a chamber music. Her concerts are held in Rabat, London and Brussels.
