Hotels and other tourist accommodation can reopen from Thursday 25 June. An announcement was made on Sunday by the Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts, Air Transport, and Social Economy.

Following the announcement of the upcoming eased lockdown measures, the Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts, Air Transport, and Social Economy announces the reopening of tourist accommodation.

In a press release, the department indicates that the resumption of tourist accommodation activity will be limited, initially, in terms of capacity and geographically conditioned according to the exercise area. Indeed, tourist accommodation establishments (EHT) will be required to respect a maximum capacity of 50% of the accommodation capacity and in all common areas such as restaurants, hammams, hairdressing salons, gyms, shops, and other points welcoming the public.

They must also comply with the sanitary provisions making it possible to guarantee health security for both customers, staff and all other users of these establishments, as the ministry points out, adding that these provisions concern, in particular, the regular disinfection of all the EHT departments, limiting the number of clients who can access the EHT at the same time, the establishment of a crawl space of 6 hours between each reservation, the disinfection of luggage at check-in and once the keys are delivered at check-out.
