The association “Touche pas à mon enfant” has just published a press release in which it lists the measures likely to stem this phenomenon. The kidnapping Alert system features prominently. This prevention and awareness-raising action revolves around 3 axes:
1 ° The application of the “Alert-Abduction” system, by which, following a report of the disappearance of a minor, the various media, in collaboration with the Attorney General of the King, regularly broadcast emergency messages containing the information necessary for the identification of the victim and / or the kidnapper, referring to a dedicated telephone line.
2 ° Activation of the Family and Childhood Council, created on the initiative of the association Touche pas à mon enfant, whose functions are provided for by the 2011 Constitution. This commission, which is still not activated, has yet the role of coordination between civil society, associative actors, and government institutions, particularly in the harmonization of sentences relating to child crime with international conventions, as well as in the proximity work carried out by the regional structures responsible for support for child victims of sexual abuse.
3 ° The introduction of a public and scientific debate on chemical castration, as it exists in certain European countries (Germany, Denmark among others), where it has proven to be convincing against the recidivism of pedophiles in particular. This medical technique, requiring above all a competent and rigorous psychotherapeutic follow-up, provides for voluntary pedophiles and people suffering from sexual deviations, a drug treatment inhibiting the libido.
