The World Summit on Innovation for Education (Wise), listed the Zakoura Foundation’s ANEER project (National Action for Early Childhood Education in Rural Areas) among 12 Wise Awards 2018 finalists.

The Aneer project is a national action for early childhood education in rural areas. Based on a model of community development, Aneer aims to expand preschool in rural areas with a goal of creating 500 schools for 50,000 children aged 4 to 6 years.

Thanks to the mobilization of the Foundation’s partners and collaborators, more than 7,000 children have already been pre-schooled since the launch of Aneer in April 2015.

The twelve finalist projects at the WISE Awards were pre-selected for their innovative vision, effectiveness and positive impact on the ground as well as for their financial stability and potential for development and adaptation to other contexts.

The finalists were selected from 413 projects and were subjected to strict selection criteria. The six WISE Award winning projects will be announced in mid-July 2018 and celebrated at the WISE @ NewYork Forum in the United States in September 2018. In addition to a $ 20,000 check, the winners will have the opportunity to promote their respective projects.

The World Summit on Innovation for Education (WISE) is held every two years.
