The Tahadi Association for Equality and Citizenship launches a project for inclusive electoral system

The AWAL Houriyates Association and the Tahadi Association for Equality and Citizenship- ATEC join forces around a high-value project called “Electoral deadlines of 23 June 2021: For inclusive and equal representation, giving life to values of the 2011 Constitution ”.

With the support of the United Nations Fund for Women, the AWAL Houriyates Association and the Tahadi Association for Equality and Citizenship – ATEC- are tackling the issue of the implementation of the Constitution values in particular in matters of democracy and parity by uniting around a common project: “Electoral deadlines of June 23, 2021: For an inclusive and equal representation, giving life to the values of the Constitution of 2011”.

Thus, the two entities wish to contribute to the debate around the electoral system in order to both reflect in a participatory manner on an inclusive electoral system ensuring vertical and horizontal parity as well as equality, and to carry out advocacy, and this, for the adoption of an electoral system capable of reconciling the citizens with the elections and the institutions, as supported by the two organizations in a press release, specifying that this advocacy will be based on and accompany the actions of reflection, awareness, and communication including carrying out an analytical study of the legislation relating to the electoral system.
