Building on the great success of the 2019 edition, the international mega-concert “Stars in The Place” returns, after a break due to the pandemic crisis, for a new eclectic edition, on December 29, 2022, at the legendary Jemaa El Fna square, in Marrakech.
Concept, design, staging, artistic direction, programming,… everything is thought out to offer a moment of culture and entertainment that will make history. Carried by world star Gims and organized by Lamalif Group, “Stars in The Place” honors the values of openness, tolerance, and fraternity of the Kingdom of Morocco. It is an unmissable event for Moroccans and tourists to reclaim public space through a festive cultural experience full of emotions.
“Peace and brotherhood, these are the key messages put forward by Stars in The Place. By holding this event, we want to express to His Majesty King Mohammed VI and to all Moroccans, our love for Morocco and our firm desire to contribute to the great economic and cultural dynamics that our dear country is experiencing under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty the King ”, underlined Gims and Youssef Aarab, founders of “Stars in The Place”.
For the 2022 edition, the organizers expect records, particularly in terms of attendance. In 2019, the mega-concert of the star Gims and his artist friends, Dadju, Lartiste, Aminux, L7or and Mohamed Ramadan to name a few, brought together more than 140,000 spectators.
For more than two hours, fans and the general public were treated to an unprecedented show of international standing. “I am proud of the support given by His Majesty the King to this cultural event which celebrates peace and tolerance. My heartfelt thanks go to Lamalif Group. A big thank you to my friends. I am grateful for them,” Gims said the day after “Star in The Place” 2019 was held.
