Sofitel launches the gastronomic sensory experience ‘Dinner in the dark’

Written by FDM

After Paris, Auckland, London, Melbourne, Barcelona, Madrid and St Petersburg, it is Morocco’s turn to receive customers in the dark. A unique gastronomic concept that has proved itself around the world.

It doesn’t get more interesting than that. Dinner in the dark, is one of the gastronomic novelties that the Sofitel Casablanca Tour Blanche ventures in: served and guided by people who are not or partially sighted, you discover a gastronomic menu in absolute darkness.

A way to foster a spirit of conviviality without judgment or preconceived ideas, and to reassess your perception of taste and smell. “We promise you rare moments of sharing, communion with each other and sublime  and unusual sensations” they said in a statement. To do this, Sofitel Casablanca Tour Blanche and Dans le Noir? joined forces with “AMAR-DEV” the Moroccan Association for the Rehabilitation of the Visually Impaired for the selection of the team of blind or visually impaired guides.

Seven people, recruited by Sofitel, are currently trained by the experts of Dans le Noir ?. The Sofitel thus participates in their insertion in the professional environment. This new concept will also be deployed during essential celebrations : Valentine’s Day, Women’s Day, bachelor party girl or boy, ..

Don’t miss January 16th, for a pure moment of discovery and tasting of an exlusively gastronomic meal prepared by the Mourad chef of Sofitel Casablanca Tour Blanche.
