Samia M’safer wins the Rabat Triathlon competition

The young athlete Samia M’safer won, on July 29th, the Rabat Triathlon, the 1st stage of the National Grand Prix and an event which is part of the 11th Rabat’s nautical festival.

Samia M’safer completed the 750m swim, the 20km on bike and the 5km race in 1 hour 18 minutes and 42 seconds. The sportswoman who represents the Municipal Swimming Club Dcheira has thus arrived first in the competition, the 1st stage of the Grand Prix national, organized by the Royal Moroccan Federation of Sport for All (FRMSPT), in partnership with the Nautical Club of the beach of Rabat.

“The Rabat Triathlon was perfectly within reach, considering several climatic advantages, in this case the absence of marine currents in the Bouregreg river and the shortage of heights “, as the young woman stated briefly at the end of the competition. Beneath her, Sophie Lambert came second (1h18mins 53s) and Oumaima El Atrassi, third (1h23mins32s).

On the men’s side, it was Nabil Kouzkouz, vice-champion of Morocco and representative of the Amal Inezgane Association during this competition, who won the first place followed by his teammate and main opponent Amine Farih, champion of Morocco in title and vice-champion d’Afrique (U23), and Mohamed Nemsi.

Another ranking this time in the special Olympics, the Association Al Awael M’diq won first place. The National Association for the Integration of People with Disabilities, for its part, finished second, just ahead of the Takafol Association of People with Disabilities.
