Said Taghmaoui says he was cast in the next James Bond movie

French-Moroccan actor Said Taghmaoui had previously announced that he could probably secure a role in the next James Bond movie.

Contacted by the British filmmaker, Danny Boyle, to play in “James Bond 25” , Said Taghmaoui auditioned for the movie and was cast as the lead villain. But his role is now uncertain following Danny Boyle’s departure as director.

“I’m supposed to do the next James Bond, playing the lead bad guy,” the French-Moroccan actor told The National paper. “I was cast by Danny Boyle, and just now he left the project, so of course there’s some uncertainty….

“We don’t know who the director will be, and the producers don’t know if they’re going to go Russian or Middle East with the baddie right now,” Taghmaoui added. “I literally just received a message saying: ‘If they go Middle East, it’s you. If they go Russian, it’s someone else.’ It’s the story of my life. Always on that line between something that could change my life and something that disappears.”

After “Wonder Woman”, “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra”, “The Hate” or “American Hustle” and “Three Kings”, the next James Bond, whose release is scheduled for November 2019, may well see the participation of the French-Moroccan naturalized American actor.
