80 women from Morocco, France, the USA and various African countries are taking part in the 5th edition of the “Sahraouiya” women’s solidarity challenge. The kickoff was given on Sunday, February 3 in Dakhla.

The “Sahraouiya” challenge, which combines sports and solidarity, was launched on February 3 in the form of a prologue discovered in the city of Dakhla. On the starting line were 80 women. This edition is attended by 12 teams representing 13 countries: Morocco, France, Guinea, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Cape Verde, South Sudan, Palestine, Panama, United States, Canada, Liberia, Grenada.

In total, the participants wear the colors of 40 associations including Goutte de lait Casablanca, Joud association, KIRIKOU, SOS Village, Association Robert Debré, Mécénat chirurgical de cœur, le p’tit hiboux du Léman, Association Insaf, EMA or the Association Solidarité féminine (helping single mothers) whose founder Aïcha Ech-Chenna is also the heart godmother of “Sahraouiya” since its first edition.

In the same spirit of solidarity, the association of friends of the Ruban Rose, which supports women with breast cancer, has joined the “Sahraouiya” momentum since 2016 to become one of the associations supported annually by the challenge, as the organization recalls in a statement. Thus, the actresses of the troupe “Takoon” known for their famous interpretation of “Bnat Lalla Menana”, will be part of the participants of this edition. Clearly, a raid to follow!
